Surprised? A Little.

So, I get a call from the San Bernardino Sheriff asking if I have found my daughter. A missing persons report was made over a year ago and still open. Wow, A year and a half a missing 1 year old still open and  they haven't bother to look for her. I am still shocked to know that no one bothered to look for my daughter. Instead I get a "sales" call a year and half later so they can update their file. An open case for over a year and they haven't even bother to look for this person. No. I found my daughter 3 months later after paying court fees to get her to court. If your child is missing, don't put too much hopes on the law enforcement to look for her. I can only imagine the amount of kids missing out there or in harm and law enforcement doesn't care. They are just a file on a computer that needs updating every so often.

As far as work goes this week I again got it with a customer. It is just too hard for me to repeat myself multiple times to adults as if they were little kids. I only say no about 3 times before I tend to treat them like little kids. Of course a huge mess was made over nothing. But I can't complain. Where I work sometimes I expect too much of customers. At least many of them know of to read and do basic math.

Not ending my work stories there. Also this week as my shift is ending I get a girl and her mom and the girl is almost passing out. So I go and help. Not much I can do unless she passes out. Turns out she was at the hospital as she had a miscarriage and instead of going home or staying at the hospital they decided to shop at Wal-Mart. Priorities!

I did it. I went down the hill and picked up Diablo 3. It took quite sometime to install but at least it runs on my old laptop. There is some lag but it is playable. I think the lag is on the Blizzard end and not my end.

Slowly introducing Natalia to super heroes. Right away she found a liking to The Hulk. I taught her the Hulk Smash. Proud moment. I ran across this picture and well . . . I want to see this fight.

With Anthony Zahn's new National Time Trial title he is on his way to the 2012 Olympics in London. This would make his second trip to the Olympics after Beijing on 2008. Keep getting up and fighting my friend.

Pictured is of course a fictional fight. However I would love to see this fight. I know Rocky would win.

Slow Week For Me. Not So Slow For A Friend!

Natalia went to the doctor and she was diagnosed as having bronchitis. Now I hope my ex starts to wake up and take some responsibilities. I handled the worse of it last week with runny nose and fevers. This week she looks much better. Still I plan on staying in town all weekend.

Still moving along slowly reading Walden and Wizard And Glass. Haven't been aggressively reading this week thus far.

Pictured is the new National Time Trial Paralympic Title of Anthony Zahn, a long time friend. He doesn't brag, so I will do a little for him. This is nothing rare. He has a few of these medals at home and his riding has managed to get him to see most of this world. It is a very special thing to be able to travel the many roads of this world and see the things he has seen and have the experiences he has had. Compared to so many people that never leave their city let alone put any physical effort in their lives. Even though we are miles apart now I still think of you and smile to see your posts. Feel free to follow him for his awesome posts and pics.

Getting the itch to play Diablo 3 and it may end up winning me over eventually. There are a bunch of awesome games coming this year. So I have better start saving.

Also this week Marvel Comics celebrates the landmark X-Men marriage of Northstar and his boyfriend Kyle.

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day. I spent the weekend with my sick daughter. No complaints, that is the duty as a parent. To take care of ones children and not running away from problems and handing them off. I spend this Fathers Day at work all day. Enslaved to the system instead of spending time with my daughter. Doing a job any person can do but needed because so many people out there need a person to read to them or to answer very stupid question multiple times since many are plain dumb (to put it nicely). That's my rant.

Started my little garden and decided to go with the small planters. The savings I had to build raised plant beds went away with a huge problem that arose Thursday. Blew a breaker and almost caused a fire. Could have been horrible but it was a sign. Now I saw most my breakers are rusted and will get those all replaced.

Finished reading C.S. Lewis Out Of The Silent Space (Space Trilogy) and found it a book of its time. I always like to read books almost a century old. Decided to continue my trip to the Dark Tower with the fourth book in the series, Wizard And Glass. Also been reading Henry David Thoreau's Walden. I must say this book should be read by all, so we can see our society from afar. Why do we enslave ourselves?

As far as my ex drama updates, I expect some this week for sure.

The picture is me cutting the umbilical cord of my daughter. I was one of the first people she saw.

Please Help Me. No, Help Us!

First of all excuse the picture. I am opinionated and think our current "leaders" are not only driving this country into socialism but also too busy setting themselves up for life after government laying out their many scams across the world.

Only 2 days in my my normal department at work and I am getting real tired of the nonsense. It was cute working with stupid people that can't problem solve or deal with stress but now its not so cute. As much as I want to stay in the department to help people out, it is just too much "bs" lately.

Watched Act Of Valor and it was a good film. It did the best it could to show the "brotherhood" among military members. However that is something no film can capture. It did manage to show that even the US Navy Seals lead normal lives. I do believe everyone should see this film at the least.

Ron Paul is out of the running. I did have hopes for him but he pulled a "Huckabee" in these elections. Now let's see if Romney takes on some of the Ron Paul mentality and carries his message. Now more than ever do we all need to listen to the No Agenda Show.

My week started with my usual "ex" drama. I received over 200 text messages in a span of an hour and a half. It was mainly to make fun of me and laugh at me and to point out to me that she has a new iPhone. Oh, forgot, also to point put my house is nasty. The only important thing she was starting to inform me she didn't complete. She has decided as usual on her own to baptize my daughter. However she failed to tell me the when and the where. I am past playing games with her. My daughter will in time communicate and I believe will grow to be a good person. I also am convinced I will get stuck with all the bills on her part. I am getting ready for that. Someone has to be mature and responsible.

Still working my way through the short novella as I was sure to have it finished already. But I am ahead on my reading. I want to read 30 books before the end of the year. I'm thinking 40 now. We will see. Of course I have a friend that reads that many in a month.

I heard a rumor that there is another Rambo movie in the works. I have to say I do not want to see this movie made. The story I believe ended very well with a very good ending (excuse the 3rd movie). Also being released is another Judge Dredd film. I do hope this one is a darker film from the previous version.

Long Work Weekend. Done.

Started to put pictures around my home. Still waiting to get my bookshelves in and start to organize my books. Yes though I consume most my books in the "e" format I like to collect classic hardcovers. I never thought I would like e-books but in the past I tended to collect far too many paperbacks and they end up being boxed up.

Another drill weekend done. As always I plan on finding a nice corner to get lazy but that never happens. I always end up deep in work. This week I put myself in the lab for immunizations and blood draws. It has been a while since I've been there. Also this weekend we were graced with the presence of a US Navy Seal Chief (SOC) on the run this morning. Again a few new guys and getting them used to the procedure and around the lab. Doc Mejia and Doc Alcocer will be leaving us next month as they depart for a year long deployment in the Kandahar region to serve their honorable duties as US Navy Corpsmen. Again served as safety Corpsman for the PFA (Physical Fitness Test). The Seabees hooked us up with a nice BBQ. Too bad we didn't know until after our nasty chow. (Pictured is HM3 Aldrete drawing blood on himself. The skill!)

Finished up reading The Sword Of Shannara and found it entertaining. It was good to read a classic adventure book following a cast of characters on a search for a powerful artifact. My next read is the CS Lewis Cosmic Trilogy novellas and hope they are a fast read.

This week my daughter was introduced to the Ghost Busters. I'm sure next week she will be asking to see the movies. Slowly getting her to experience those special movies to forever remember.

In My Next 30 Years (Revisited)

In my next 30 years I hope to have less regrets. Do those things I want to do. I hope to find a person with good inside to share memories and times with. I hope to find that person whom I can trust. A person whom jealousy is not a part of their being and not judge life by the material things obtained. A person whom doesn't have hate inside towards others. A person open to ideas and be willing to let go. A person with experiences in life whom can share those.

In my next 30 years I will raise my daughter to be a good person with good morals, habits, strong and dependent on herself. A daughter that will not hate and discriminate others. A daughter whom will have an open mind and heart. A daughter whom will grow up to be built to be able to deal with anything life throws at her like her daddy. A daughter whom will share in my life until my time comes to leave this plane. I will be there for my daughter in life and in spirit with any needs she may need as my parents do for me.

In my next 30 years I hope to be the same person I am, was and am now. To stay fit and to continue to help others and to open my self to others. We are after all social beings all needing each other to survive.

In my next 30 years I hope to have fun and not worry so much. To continue my life and accept faith as my guide.

I start my next 30 years with a stable home. I can't wait for my next 30 years as I know they will be full of surprises. If they are anything like my previous years, I am sure they will hold experiences never imagined before.

In My Next 30 Years

All done now as far as divorce and agreement. My ex picked up the rest of her stuff on Monday with no sheriffs needed. I was a bit surprised as I was ready to make the call. However the day wouldn't have been complete without her complaining. A few hours later my phone started buzzing.

Started my small vegetable garden. I decided to keep them in planters. I have no green-thumb so I hope these don't die on me.

Ray Bradbury (1920-2012) passed away this week. Literature not only lost an author but a dreamer of worlds and possibilities. As a fan I will miss his works, but he has left us so much for many generations to appreciate.

E3 the video game convention is going on this week and tons of new game announcements. Many games slated to release 2013. No news on the hardware aspect of the industry and that was fine by me. Don't want to go out and buy new console because a new one released when the current gen consoles still have plenty of horsepower for the newest games. Among weird items announced, Microsoft announced the SmartGlass. It is still unclear to me if it is a new device or an app for current devices.

Among some games announced was a new Spider-Man game that actually looks good. Assassins Creed 3 gets a new trailer and gameplay footage. Halo 4 gets finally shown off with a trailer and demo. Splinter Cell: Blacklist gets demoed among many others. Black Ops II also gets a demo but I wasn't so much into it.After a while all these Call Of Duty games look and play the same.

Check out the new Avengers Vs. X-Men Issue #5 out this week.

A year ago this weekend was when I finally got to see my daughter after months. Months where my ex wife had her hidden from me playing her games. A year ago this weekend was when the court finally gave me custody of my daughter and we now have 50-50 shared time with her. It was very tough for months not knowing anything about my daughter. The system is nowhere near perfect but I had no choice. Divorce is finally final as I received copies of the paperwork. My ex will finally have to be responsible for herself. Maybe even take some responsibilities with my daughter. I doubt that will ever happen.

Another relaxed few days at home with Natalia. Went to a few thrift stores to browse around. Also again this year we have Forest Festival Days and we walked around the festivities around town. Only in a small town can this be enjoyed. Weather more like summer and getting settled in the new house. I took Natalia to the creek on Keller Peak and she had a blast there. Couldn't resist to get all wet.

Stephen King announced his new book called Joyland due to release next summer. With E3 around the corner a few leaks already all over the net. The trailer for Dawnguard was released this week. DC shows off Injustice: Gods Among Us game which is the same fighter as Mortal Kombat Vs. DC. Still waiting from something decent from DC, this is not it. The trailer looks awesome compared to the actual game. Also the new Star Wars 1313 game was announced. However no trailer or anything thus far released. Not done yet, Battlefield 3 new Close Quarters Donya Fortress Trailer also starts to pop up everywhere.

Downloaded the new 2312 by Kim Stanley Robinson as well as C.S. Lewis Space Trilogy published in the early 1940s. One of these will be my next read. Still slowly moving along with The Sword Of Shannara.

Don't forget to catch the latest Table Top Gaming Episode from the Geek & Sundry Channel. Watch the legend Steve Jackson play The World Of Munchkin . This is the best episode yet. I wish I had friends locally to play games like this every once in a while.
