The Acorn's Nest? The Acorn's Web?

I believe every house should be named, so finally I came up with two names for my house. Thus far they are "The Acorn's Nest" or "The Acorn's Web". Why?Because of the large amount of acorns all over the place and baby oak trees sprouting everywhere, the birds that come frequent my feeders or the many cobwebs. Which one do you like?

Quiet days with Natalia, as she so much rather be at home. Got a very small amount of rain on Friday and I was hoping as usual for more. Finally got my bookcases for the house. One in Natalia's room and another for my fancy books and movies. Now her room is finally starting to get organized and more floor space for her. It is hard to get her to take pictures.

Anthony Zahn, as I write is in Great Britain and will be competing in the following events: Kilo (Aug 30), Pursuit (Aug 31), Time Trial (Sept 5) and Road Race (Sept 6). You can check out the Paralympics Games online. Looks like their coverage will be better than the NBC coverage. The US Paralympics Website will be streaming with no restrictions.

Looking forward to the arrival of Fall. I know it is still at least a month away. But hopefully with the lowering of temperatures I can get in the mode to start to chop my pile of wood. I just seem to look at it and go back inside. I know I am lazy. Also getting ready for the next few full shifts at work. I'll take the hours while I can. I'm sure in a few weeks with the many changes we all will be getting screwed again.

I was informed of the Save The SciFi site through the Sword & Laser show. Good to see some of these forgotten Pulp SciFi books being digitized. Some have already been but as a member looks like they are free to download.

La Vuelta A Espana is here. For the first time since I can remember it is not only leaving from Euskadi (Basque Country) but spending some days on the region. It would have been more impact for the race if they  entered Euskadi later in the race. Euskadi has a big place in my heart as I spend a few years there and lessons learned there and the culture are forever part of me.
