I am Natalia's daddy! My latest happenings as well as my lil' girls happenings will be posted here as I live them.

I like to read science fiction, fantasy as well as classics and comics. Always looking for recommendations. Like to play video games and board games. Love to watch old movies and shows, as I find them relaxing and entertaining. Last but not least. like to feed the birds and do some gardening.

Proud to be a US Navy Corpsman veteran and part of the Southwest Region Funeral Honor Guard.

Altiverse, Guns and Dogg?

Gotcha! Some of you saw the picture and may have thought - "What the heck!" or maybe "He lost it! Nope, it is just one of the covers for Phillip K Dick's The Man in the High Castle which I finished reading. I don't read much alternate universe type genre and found this one to be a decent book but a little hard to read at times. I know this is not his typical writings so I will be reading more Phillip K. Dick's works in the future. SyFy channel also has announced they will bring this book to screen in the near future. Started to read Old Man's War and I have high hopes for this story and my first Scalzi book. Thus far a page turner with a few "wow" moments.

Got a Dr. Seuss video for Natalia that turned out to be somewhat of a documentary of Ted Geisel and a bit interesting. Some of his books were political in nature due to the time Ted Geisel lived. Being the way that I am, I now will spend time and money (that I don't have) collecting all his works over the years. More and more I am reading books to Natalia as she asks me.

I was expecting some drama from my ex this week but to my surprise I received none. She seems to have been on her medications this week pretty heavily. Calm and quiet all week and Thursday morning.

As far as gaming, I haven't been doing much. Still haven't picked up Dead Space 3 or the Aliens game. The Aliens game actually doesn't look pretty and hasn't gotten many rave reviews. Jumped back in Borderlands 2 for a few hours the other night and shared my arsenal of cool weapons with a few. They were grateful. Haven't ran across any "dickheads" lately online which is real awesome.

Now onto the controversial views. I have to stir the hornets nest as for those that know me, it is what I do. Not because I like to make problems but simply to open the eyes of many and show other points of view that may not necessarily be those of the mainstream citizens.

I will simply post here a new NRA ad and the Second Amendment. I will also like to point out actual wording of the Second Amendment as so many do not know it and the media loves to change the wording. Many words can have different meanings to some such as "Militia", "free State", "Arms" and "infringed".

Also below I have written down the actual oath the President takes before taking office. Note his actual job is solely to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
- Amendment II

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
- Oath of office of the President of the United States of America

The ad above as gotten many negative comments. That was already a given before it even came out. For some reason the mainstream person sees it as cool to be "anti-gun". Because they feel if it cool and what everyone wants to hear. Much like years past all the "cool" people wore that lame yellow Lance bracelet to show they are cool and care by paying a dollar to a guy whom used that money for his horrible actions. So you can read between the lines here. This ad to me simply makes some true statements how these "elites" have no problems employing such firearms to protect themselves. They just don't want you having the right to protect yourself how you see fit.

Two more "Dorner Manhunt" observations I would like to point out. One thing I found very funny during the "Dorner Manhunt" was an short interview of a guy in Big Bear where he said "He is anti gun but would love to have a gun know to protect himself" Just think about that. Second, for those of you that saw Dorner's "arsenal of weapons that the media showed off should be wondering why they are not damaged in any way after the fire they went through as the cabin burned down. Here is a short video on the display of weapons >>

A few ask me or even wonder why I have a blog or do this. Well it is sort of a journal online. I like to think of it as a hobby to share and it keeps me busy. I do it for myself and hope it remains up for many years to come so I can look back or anyone can look back into it. This may be our "time capsules" to the future generations. I don't like Facebook or such social sites as there is no control. Here you can have all the control on what is posted and look. I encourage everyone to put up a blog about yourself or anything you wish to share. The internet is not for media or businesses. Far from it. It is for the people to share and connect. One way to keep the internet free is by doing so. Sadly most see it as a place to shop and get news. Why not be you the one posting the news or your views. Also why not a "podcast"? Imagine if you didn't? Imagine if no one communicated or told their views? I think it would be a whole different world. One I don't want to imagine.

Lastly I have to share this video with everyone. Excuse the language beforehand. This guy has a job to do and well I've been on the receiving end. I know not to park my car in the street or you will expect this. People may complain but they also complain when the roads are not plowed.
